Delegation from the SAO at the VIII Congress of EUROSAI

From 30 May to 2 June, 2011, a delegation from the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic (SAO) led by president Dohnal attended VIII Congress of EUROSAI, which was held in Lisbon, Portugal.
Representatives from 48 supreme audit institutions and other guests participated at the Congress that was focused on two main themes: I) challenges and demands faced by public managers and II) the audit of independent regulatory agencies. The Congress adopted EUROSAI Strategic Plan. The SAO has been authorized to manage one of the four strategic goals of the period 2011–2017, which will aim at sharing knowledge and experience.
The Congress approved the joint audit report on audit of funds earmarked for supporting and integration of disabled persons, which had been performed by 12 supreme audit institutions, including the SAO.
