• Department I.

  Director: Ms. Jana Schenková

  Drafts the audit plan and changes thereto; monitors implementation of the plan; monitors use of audit capacity; draws up and updates proposals for audit quality management methodologies and standards in accordance with INTOSAI audit standards; administers audit information software, including providing methodological assistance to other departments; prepares methodological aids for performance audit.

• Department II.

  Director: Ms. Vlasta Viktorová

  Audits the collection of direct and indirect taxes, customs and other state revenues, including their administration; monitors implementation of the state budget and draws up an opinion on the state closing account; analyses the financial management of state budget chapters and appraises chapters’ closing accounts; scrutinises management of state receivables, securities and other assets.

• Department III.

  Director: Ms. Helena Vorbová

  Audits state financial assets and finances provided from the state budget for individuals and corporations. Inspects management of the state property by organizational components of the state, contributory organizations, state enterprises and state funds. Checks finances collected according to the law in favour of corporate bodies.

• Department IV.

  Director: Mr. Josef Polák

  Conducts audits focused on agriculture and rural development, programmes implemented as part of EU structural policy and other financial instruments for providing finances to the Czech Republic; monitors information about projects, programmes and other activities performed in the Czech Republic under the EU common agricultural and structural policy; handles monitoring and access to information systems from this area.

• Department V.

  Director: Mr. Vladislav Rajman

  Conducts audits regarding rail, road, water and air infrastructure, investments in water mains and sewers, waste water purification plants, water management structures and alteration of watercourses, housing construction; also audits investments regarding support for competitiveness in industry and enterprise, industrial zones, regional development, renewal and development of healthcare facilities, schools, taxes and customs administration, the police etc.

• Department VI.

  Director: Ms. Zdeňka Drápalová

  Conducts audits and provides methodological assistance regarding financial audit; draws up work procedures for financial audit of accounting units within the state budget in line with international audit standards; draws up opinions on draft legislation and amendments regarding the regulation of accounting and reporting by accounting units within the state budget.

• Regional departments

  Regional departments handle audits of auditees located away from the SAO’s head office.
