The Supreme Audit Office welcomed members of the Indonesian Public Accounts Control Committee

Press release — 24 September 2019

A delegation from the Indonesian Public Accounts Control Committee paid a visit to the SAO on 19 September. This committee of the Indonesian Parliament is a partner of the Indonesian Supreme Audit Institution and fulfils the role of control over state funds. The members of the committee enquired, in particular, about the status of the Czech SAO in the system of audits, as well as about the form of cooperation between the Czech SAO and the Committee on Budgetary Control of the Chamber of Deputies.

The SAO representatives headed by the vice-president Zdeňka Horníková presented the Indonesian delegation with what the status of the SAO is, what impact SAO’s audits have and what the cooperation with the Committee on Budgetary Control of the Chamber of Deputies looks like.

The SAO has been cooperating with its Indonesian colleagues since 2005, mainly in the INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing. The Indonesian Supreme Audit Institution chaired this working group by September 2019, and one of its Steering Committee meetings took place in Prague in October 2018.
