Meeting of Head Representatives of the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the Visegrad Group, Austria and Slovenia (V4+2)


This year´s V4+2 meeting took place in Lednice from 5 until 7 September 2016. Main theme consisted of acquiring data necessary for audit activities, their analysis and possibilities for use of the compiled data for mutual international comparison of the effectiveness of the national economies. Participants of the meeting discussed the different possibilities for use of the great amount of data available from public information systems and also data generated from own analytical activity within audits carried out by the individual SAIs.

The quality of obtained data, their value and use for creation of performance indicators was discussed in order to be utilized at the international level. Contributions of the individual participants were devoted to the necessity of institutional cooperation at the national level, one´s own analytical activity and application of information for measuring effectiveness of external and internal processes.

Representatives of the Czech SAI presented a proposal of an international project aimed at use of comparable information to create indicators that would help monitor efficiency of the public administration in the individual states, and at the same time provide overview of effectiveness of the national economies on broader international scale.

Current European Union´s themes and preparation of the annual meeting of the Contact Committee (Assembly of the Heads of EU Supreme Audit Institutions and the European Court of Auditors) that is going to take place in Bratislava this year were also discussed. Furthermore, activities connected to cooperation of V4+2 countries and countries that pursue accession to the European Union were also on the agenda. The next meeting of the V4+2 will take place in the Slovak Republic in 2017.
