Meeting of the Presidents of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the V4+2 countries
3-5 May 2023, Brno
On 3-5 May 2023, a meeting of the Presidents of the Supreme Audit Institutions of the V4+2 countries took place in Brno, with the topic of The Impact of Audits. The meeting was attended by six delegations from the V4+2 countries (Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia), led by the Heads of the Supreme Audit Institutions of these countries.
The meeting mainly discussed the impact of audits. Participants had the opportunity to hear presentations by other Supreme Audit Institutions of V4+2 countries in this area and to exchange experience. The independence of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAI) was also discussed. The Polish SAI shared its experience of a complicated situation when it was forced to ask the international organisation IDI (INTOSAI Development Initiative) to launch the SAI Independence Rapid Advocacy Mechanism (SIRAM) to investigate threats to its independence.
The three newly elected Presidents (SAIs of Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia) were also present at the meeting and had the opportunity to meet their counterparts from other SAIs and discuss areas of common interest.
