Members of the Chamber of Deputies elected Mr Stanislav Koucký, former Senior Director of the Audit Section of the SAO, as Member of the SAO

Press release on the election of the Member of the SAO – 29 September 2020


Today, the Members of the Chamber of Deputies elected Mr Stanislav Koucký as a new Member of the SAO. In a secret ballot, 118 of the 171 Members present in the Chamber of Deputies voted in favour of his election. Mr Koucký in now waiting to take an oath before the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament.

Mr Stanislav Koucký, 53, was born in Pacov and graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University College of Agriculture in Prague. He worked at the Financial Directorate in České Budějovice in the 1990s, where he held the position of Head of Unit. In 1995, he joined the SAO as an auditor at the Regional Department of Kutná Hora. In 2002, he moved to the Defence and Security Audit Department, which he led since 2005. In the year 2006, he became the Director of Section I, which dealt with draft plans of SAO’s audits, audit methodology and quality control. From 2010 up to now, Mr Koucký has served as the Senior Director of the Audit Section of the SAO. He was also a member of the Audit Cooperation and Coordination Committee within the Public Audit Oversight Board.

Stanislav Koucký is married and has three children.
