The Czech National Bank´s management without serious errors, the SAO audit showed

The Supreme Audit Office examined the activities of the Czech National Bank (CNB) within its scope1 between 2014 and 2016. The audit focused on the process of drawing up the budget and its fulfilment, acquisition of property, as well as the expenses connected with the operation of the CNB or the management of related accounting. The auditors examined a total of CZK 271 million and did not find significant shortcomings. The CNB handled its own property appropriately and with professional care. The SAO also aimed at the CNB´s work with the results of the past audit published by the SAO in 2006. It turned out that the bank had taken remedial actions and had embedded them in its internal rules.
